bioTheranostics, a bioMérieux company that discovers, develops and commercializes new molecular diagnostic tests in oncology, announced that a recent study demonstrated the company’s THEROS CancerTYPE ID® molecular diagnostic test predicted cancer origin with 75 percent accuracy in patients whose primary cancer was initially “unknown” using traditional diagnostics. New test can be used with the first CE marked Dry Blood Spot sample collection technique for viral load monitoring, bringing testing to patients in remote locations
bioMérieux, a world leader in the field of in vitro diagnostics, presented the latest addition to its HIV testing offer at the European Congress of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases (ECCMID). NucliSENS EasyQ® HIV-1 v2.0 is a test able to detect even very low viral load levels in AIDS patients, offering one of the highest degrees of sensitivity available today.

    bioMérieux, a global leader in the field of in vitro diagnostics, released its quarterly business review through March 31, 2009. As of March 31, 2009, net sales amounted to €286 million, up 6.4% at constant exchange rates and scope of consolidation (on a like-for-like basis) versus the first quarter of 2008. Factoring in sales related to business development agreements, the increase was 10.6% at constant exchange rates.
